these cicada killer wasps were nesting in my yard on July 10 and July 13,2011 in Warwick, RI wing span measures 1 in stinger 1/4 in body of first 2 in second body is a little over an inch

Hi Gina,

Thanks for the photo. If you killed these cicada killers, it really wasn't necessary. Cicada Killers are extremely non-aggressive towards humans and the males don't even have stingers.

In fact, I have stolen paralyzed cicadas away from cicada killer females and have never been stung.
