I live on Long Island ( Dix Hills) and went out in my backyard today to find my Hostas FULL of Cicadas.

Hi Margaret,

Thanks for the very cool photos of a Magicicada septendecim. Like here on Cape Cod, Long Island will only experience this species. Elsewhere, where Brood XIV will be, there are actually three total species.
