As i am not a native to the US and only moved here 13 years ago this is my first experience with these critters. It was very interesting to see the whole process,coming out of the ground braking the shell and final the noise.

Very cool photos of Brood XIX Magicicada tenerals. I can detect the process by looking at the first photo above then mid-way through and then the final adult.
