Hi Ann

Thanks for filling in our online form. The supplied photo is definately a cicada. The species is known as Tibicen canicularis, the Northern Dogday Cicada. Among the five or so species known to exist in New Hampshire, these are perhaps the most common cicada that can be found.

Still Epping New Hampshire is a new data point for my distribution map for the species so thanks very much.

Holy crap a cicada in Epping Nh, there around my house all the time! i wanna put one in my dads room....
