Saw these coming out all over in Chatham County....13 year periodical cicadas....be sure to get out and experience them. Good article on them in this month's Wildlife in NC.

Thanks very much for supplying the cool photos of a Magicicada teneral from Brood XIX.
Admittedly at this early stage it is quite difficult to determine species until after it develops its full colors. But still very nice quality. Thank you.
